Preparation of NiTiO3 Pigment and Application in Glaze
The synthesis of yellow pigments remains one of research hotspots.Sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate was used as a surfactant to synthesize the precursor of nickel titanium yellow pigment by hydrothermal method at low temperature.Subsequently, the yellow pigment nickel titanium was obtained by calcining the precursor in a muffle furnace. The morphology of the product was characterized by field-emission scanning electron microscopy and chromatic properties were detected using a colorimeter. The results showed that the more regular the morphology of nickel titanium yellow pigment, the higher its saturation.Nickel titanium yellow pigment was used as a coloring agent in the base glaze, and yellow ceramic glaze was obtained after calcination, with the color performance of nickel titanium yellow pigment remaining stable. These results contribute to the research of new yellow ceramic glazes.
