A Study on the Artistic Characteristics of the"Nanjing Style"Images on Sino-Japanese Porcelain in the 17th and 18th Centuries
As a concentrated and refined representation of traditional Chinese landscape garden culture,the"Nanjing Style"has formed a fusion of multi-cultures and local characteristics on porcelain and has become popular worldwide in trade exchanges.Based on the research of"Nanjing style"images on Sino-Japanese porcelain in the 17th and 18th centuries,this paper examines the evolution and artistic characteristics of this decorative pattern in both China and Japan.Through in-depth comparative analysis of the subject selection and compositional forms of this image in porcelain from both countries,this paper explores how the"Nanjing style"image was absorbed and integrated into the local cultural genes of Japan.Furthermore,it draws conclusions regarding the aesthetic differences between China and Japan in the image design.
