By analyzing the early technical characteristics of the Zhaili kiln in Zibo and comparing it with the production chain of kilns during the same period,it is found that its production technology may have originated from the Baihe kiln in Henan province.The migration and mobility of the aristocracy during the Northern Dynasty were the main driving forces behind the technology dissemination.The existing pottery production foundation and natural resources in Zibo provided the basic conditions for the early introduction of external technology.
