Combined with historical documents and archaeological data,this paper discusses the production techniques,vessel types,decorative patterns and artistic expressions of black glazed porcelain in the Yanbei area.It also analyzes the aesthetic value of black glazed porcelain and its application and enlightenment in contemporary design.Black glazed porcelain flourished in the Liao and Jin dynasties,and the Yanbei area was situated at the border between the Northern Song dynasty and the Liao dynasty,as well as the Southern Song dynasty and the Jin dynasty.Therefore,the black glazed porcelain produced in this region deeply reflects the deep integration of Central Plains culture and nomadic culture,both in terms of vessel types and decoration.This paper aims to inherit and develop the splendid artistic culture of black glazed porcelain and better inherit and promote the Chinese porcelain culture through its application and development in the decorative arts.
