Eastern Civilization Spread Out to the West——Intervention and Reconstruction of Ming and Qing Dynasty Export Porcelain Decorative Brocade Patterns in the Border Design of Spode Ceramics in England
In the middle and late 18th century,the British ceramic industry sprang up,giving rise to companies such as Worcester,Wedgwood,and Spode,which focused on the research and production of ceramics. In order to occupy the British ceramics market,these companies began to imitate the styles of Chinese export porcelain,among which the decorative patterns of porcelain had a significant impact on the development of the Spode ceramic industry. In this paper,it organizes the development overview of Chinese export porcelain in foreign trade,analyzes the decorative types,structural organization and design characteristics of Ming and Qing Dynasty export porcelain brocade patterns and explores the decorative design characteristics of Spode ceramics. Explain the combination type and composition method of romantic decorative pattern and brocade pattern. It demonstrates that the artistic patterns of Ming and Qing Dynasty export porcelain have influenced the innovative development of Spode ceramics in England.
