The history of modern Chinese lacquer pottery and craftsmanship can be traced back to the pottery lacquer ware of the Neolithic period.Although the pottery lacquer ware appeared earlier,it did not develop smoothly and showed periodic discon-tinuous characteristics.The root cause should be restricted by the problem of the degree of combination of the body and the lac-quer layer,which is not desirable in long-term preservation and thus greatly restricted its range of use.Limited scope.This article attempts to analyze the advantages and problems of traditional lacquer ware,and discuss the problems that should be paid atten-tion to in the inheritance and development of lacquer and pottery in the new era.Today,under the guidance of advanced design concepts,craftsmanship of lacquer and pottery are to be used comprehensively so as to avoid the disadvantages of ancient pottery lacquerware.Lacquer pottery crafts will surely shine splendidly in a wider field.
