An Insight into the Interaction between Art and Folklore of Porcelain Pillow of Song and Jin Dynasties
During the Song and Jin dynasties,porcelain pillows prospered,with a perfect firing system,huge production and common use.Song and Jin porcelain pillow not only carries the multiple functions of practicality,cognition,and aesthetics,but also integrates the craft technology with the humanities,social fashion and life interest,and incarnates as the link of traditional culture and art and folk customs blend and interact.Taking porcelain pillow as a window,this paper takes a glimpse of the people's livelihood in the Song and Jin dynasties,aims to discuss the mutual coexistence between art and folk customs under the maintenance of porcelain pillow,and probe into the multi-dimensional interaction between the two in the aspects of utility,beauty,cognition and affection,in order to provide some inspiration for the integration and development of contemporary art and folk customs.
