A Comparative Study on the Design of Chinese and Japanese Colored Porcelain"Quail Image"from the Perspective of Traditional Craft
At the beginning of the 17th century,"Quail Image"appeared in a large number of Chinese and Japanese colored porcelain decoration.The"Quail Image"on colored porcelain presented a variety of design styles.Such prosperity was influenced by Chinese and Japanese literature and painting on the one hand,and was closely related to Sino-Japanese ceramic trade and technical exchanges in the 17th century on the other hand.From the perspective of Chinese and Japanese porcelain crafts,this paper discusses the design characteristics of quail images under different backgrounds of Chinese and Japanese porcelain crafts,analyzes the influence of Chinese crafts using quail images as decorative carriers on Japan,and provides reference ideas for the spread of Chinese culture to the world and the cultural exchanges between China and Japan.
