Analysis of Ancient Chinese Medicine Ceramic Decoction Apparatus
As an excellent intangible cultural heritage of China,the decoction technique of traditional Chinese medicine soup is inseparable from the use of utensils,and the decoction utensils play a crucial role.In this paper,we take the soups in the medical literature as the entry point and the ancient ceramic decoction utensils as the main research object,pointing out the advantages of using ceramics as medicinal utensils.Explore the similarities and differences in the shapes and functions of diao,cheng,pot,and jug;clarify the specific performance of each type of decoction apparatus in the development,prosperity,and decline periods during the long evolution process from the Tang Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty;and analyze the unique medicinal values and cultural connotations of ancient decoction apparatuses.
