In order to reveal the fatigue performance of box composite girder with corrugated steel webs under chloride corrosion environment, two scaled models of simply supported composite box girders were designed and fabricated, and constant amplitude and graded amplitude fatigue tests were conducted respectively to study the fatigue performance of uncorroded and corroded model girder.Based on nonlinear damage theory, the fatigue damage and fatigue life prediction of box composite girder with corrugated steel webs were carried out.The research results indicated that both uncorroded and corroded composite box girders did not experience fatigue failure after 2 million cycles of constant amplitude loading, and the additional bending deformation caused by fatigue loading increased with the increase of loading cycles;under the action of bending moment, the composite girder satisfies the"pseudo plane section assumption";the uncorroded girder and corroded girder experienced fatigue failure after 3.146 million and 2.88 million graded variable amplitude cyclic loading, respectively. The welded joints at the corners of the test beam bottom plate and the left and right web plates are the fatigue vulnerable parts of this type of composite box girder; The modified Corten-Dolan model considering the interaction of multi-stage variable amplitude loads can effectively predict the fatigue life of box composite girder with corrugated steel webs;the influence of the interaction between multi-stage variable amplitude loads on the fatigue life of structures decreases with increasing corrosion severity.
