Exploration of Configuration Effects on the Spatial Distribution of Sports Parks in China——A Qualitative Comparative Analysis Based on fsQCA
The construction of sports parks is an important measure to develop a higher-level public service system for national fitness and build China into a country strong in sports. The study explores the multiple complex causal mechanisms that influence the spatial distribution of sports parks in China. It utilizes 31 provinces, autonomous regions and municipalities as case samples and employs spatial analysis in GIS,the entropy evaluation method and fuzzy-set quali-tative comparative analysis(fsQCA)to conduct the study. The results indicate that the spatial distribution of sports parks in China is mainly influenced by population demand, economic sup-port,transportation accessibility, environmental friendliness, urban motivating factors, and gov-ernment stimulus. Therefore, the spatial distribution of sports parks is the result of multiple fac-tors,and no single factor possesses the decisive ability to induce such distribution. This multi-factor configuration reveal that the layout path of sports parks is mainly shaped by government-dominated economic environment(PO*GNP*AQI*GOV*RL),population-driven new-type ur-banization(PO*~GNP*AQI*UR*GOV and PO*GNP*~AQI*UR*RL),and environment-led transport-driven urbanization(~PO*~GNP*AQI*UR*RL).
