Research on the Influence of Social Comparison on Happiness of Major Groups in Sports Consumption
Objective:To explore the influence of different social comparison types on happi-ness,and to analyze the mediating role of sports consumption in the influence relationship. Methods:The "online" snowball sampling method was used to obtain the sample data of the main population. Through classification and quantitative analysis,the social comparison of sports consumption in major groups is divided into three categories:paranoid social compari-son,conciliatory social comparison and low desire social comparison,and the relationship be-tween these social comparison types and happiness,as well as the mechanism of sports con-sumption between them. Results:Paranoid social comparison and low desire social comparison have significant direct effect on happiness,but conciliatory social comparison has no significant effect on happiness. In the relationship between paranoid social comparison and happiness,spir-itual sports consumption has a partial mediating effect;in the relationship between harmonious social comparison and happiness,physical sports consumption has complete mediating effect;in the relationship between low-desire social comparison and happiness,the mediating effect of material sports consumption and spiritual sports consumption are both not significant. Conclu-sions:Among major groups,paranoid and low-desire social comparison has direct influence on happiness,and sports consumption plays different mediating roles between different types of so-cial comparison and happiness.
