Nowadays, English listening is playing a more and more important role in English teaching. And the research of listening is becoming the key point. The Schema Theory, based on the cognitive psychology, is becoming a new way in English teaching. It is a reform to the traditional listening teaching, which can give full play to students’ initiative. This paper wil make a study on the Schema Theory used in English Listening Teaching.
