Spatial Distribution and Forming Mechanism of Differentiation Pattern of Shanxi's Red Cultural Heritage
Shanxi,as an important base of the new democratic revolution, has a profound red culture. This paper makes a quan-titative study on the spatial distribution of Shanxi's red cultural heritage from the macro scale, which is helpful to enhance its overall value cognition and clarify its current situation, advantages, and disadvantages of protection and reuse.Taking the 117 administrative units at the county or district level in Shanxi Province as the analysis unit, this paper uses Arc-GIS to carry out kernel density estimation, spatial autocorrelation analysis, directional distribution analysis, and terrain analysis, and combines the mathematical statistics methods such as the difference analysis and correlation analysis to reveal the spatial distribution characteristics of Shanxi's red cultural heritage, and analyzes the formation mechanism of its spatial distribution differences from the aspects of historic and cultural endowments, social and economic development, and geographical environment. The results show that Shanxi's red cultural heritage is most densely distributed in the northeast of Changzhi,Taiyuan City, and Yangquan City, but sparsely distributed in Lvliang,Xinzhou,Shuozhou, and Datong in the west and north of Shanxi Province.Based on this, this paper puts forward the following suggestions. It is necessary to make full use of the resource endowment of the dense ar-eas of red cultural heritage to develop the holistic red tourism in cluster mode, and expand the related domain of the red cultural heri-tage by strengthening cross-domain cooperation. We should focus on the scientific and innovative utilization of red cultural heritage to promote the development of related industries and guide the transformation of industrial structures in economically underdeveloped areas. The dense areas of red cultural heritage in Shanxi can be built into heritage corridors and heritage areas depending on the ter-rain conditions. The ability of resource integration and linkage development of red cultural heritage protection and reuse should be enhanced by strengthening the overall regional planning and design.
