Inheritance and Protection of Cultural Heritage Based on Policies Relating to Intangible Cultural Heritage Protection
Due to its diversity,variety,and shareability,intangible cultural heritage has attracted wide attention to its inheritance and protection from around the world.The key task to protecting intangible cultural heritage is to protect the people,not the artifacts.As the carriers of intangible cultural heritage,the inheritors have the responsibility to preserve and develop intangible cultural heri-tage.This paper discusses inheritor systems,preservation mechanisms and other key issues of intangible cultural heritage.It is em-phasized that it is important to combine conventional preserving methods with modern teaching tools.Through improvement of the status of inheritors,intensive education and training,promotion of inter-discipline collaborations and other measures,the bottleneck in current intangible cultural heritage preservation can be overcome to ensure sustainable development of intangible cultural heritage.The importance of developing an environment for preserving intangible cultural heritage and encouraging the public to participate in protecting intangible cultural heritage is also emphasized in this paper.With its abundant cultural heritage,China has tremendous work to do to protect and preserve them.Joint efforts are required from every person in society.The development of relevant laws and regulations is a key component in intangible cultural heritage protection.The government of China has promulgated a series of laws,regulations,and policies,and is still continuously improving its legal system to ensure that the protection and preservation of intan-gible cultural heritage are carried out into the future in a sustainable manner.
