Study on the Diagnosis of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome in Women of Childbearing Age by Transvaginal Three-Dimensional Volume Ultrasound
Objective To analyze the application value of transvaginal three-dimensional volume ultrasound in the diagnosis of polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)in women of childbearing age. Methods A total of 40 patients with PCOS admitted to Boai Hospital of Zhongshan from June 2021 to December 2022 were selected as the observation group, and 40 healthy women who underwent physical examination in Boai Hospital of Zhongshan during the same period were selected as the control group.Three dimensional volume ultrasound was performed in both groups to analyze and compare the number of follicles, endometrial thickness and ovarian volume. The diagnostic value of each parameter to PCOS was analyzed. Results By three-dimensional volume ultrasound analysis, endometrial thickness, ovarian volume and follicle volume average number of follicles in the observation group were significantly different from those in the control group(P<0.05).Receiver operating characteristic curve(ROC)was drawn to present the curve results. The area under the PCOS curve(AUC)for ovarian volume, number of follicles, and endometrial thickness were 0.819,0.855,and 0.812,respectively,indicating high diagnostic value. Conclusion Transvaginal three-dimensional volume ultrasound diagnosis has important diagnostic value in the accurate diagnosis of PCOS in women of childbearing age,and also has important application value in the evaluation of treatment effect and prognosis.
