Analysis of the Correlation Between the Occurrence of Thyroid Nodules and the Level of Glucose and Lipid Metabolism
Objective To observe the correlation analysis between the occurrence of thyroid nodules and the level of glucose and lipid metabolism. Methods A total of 100 patients examined thyroid at Xiamen Humanity Hospital from January to December 2022 were divided into different groups based on their examination results.Among them,50 patients with thyroid nodules as the study group and 50 patients without thyroid nodules as the control group. The basic data of patients were analyzed to determine the correlation between thyroid nodules and glucose and lipid metabolism levels[fasting plasma glucose(FPG),total cholesterol(TC),triglyceride(TG),low density lipoprotein cholesterol(LDL-C)and high-density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)].Results The levels of FPG,TC,TG,and LDL-C in the study group were higher than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared to the HDL-C index, there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).Due to the uncertainty values of FT3,FT4,and TSH,Spearman rank correlation analysis was conducted on the level data.TSH was positively correlated with FPG,TC,LDL-C,and HDL-C(r values of 0.105,0.635,0.143,0.704,0.619,P<0.01),while FT3 is negatively correlated with FPG,TC,LDL-C,and HDL-C(r values of-0.568,-0.676,-0.352,-0.702,-0.764,P<0 01),and FT4 was negatively correlated with FPG,TC,LDL-C,and HDL-C(r values of-0.401,-0.547,-0.425,-0.639,-0.493,P<0.01).Conclusion The increase in FPG,TC,TG,LDL-C levels and the decrease in HDL-C levels are influencing factors for inducing TNS in the body.
