Objective To investigate the effect of vaginal flushing with benzalkonium chloride combined with clotrimazole vaginal suppository on the treatment and the quality of life of fungal vaginitis.Methods A total of 125 cases of fungal vaginitis in the Second Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University from January 2020 to March 2023 were selected as the research objects,and were randomly divided into the control group(62 cases)and the observation group(63 cases).The patients in the control group were given clotrimazole vaginal suppository for vaginal embolization,and the patients in the observation group were given 0.01%benzalkonium chloride vaginal irrigation on the basis of clotrimazole vaginal suppository.The differences in efficacy,EuroQol five dimensions questionnaire(EQ-5D score),treatment satisfaction and incidence of adverse reactions between the two groups were compared.Results The effective rate of the observation group was 80.95%(51/63),while the control group was 62.90%(39/62),the differences were statistically significant(χ2=6.763,P=0.034).The quality-of-life scores of pain/discomforts,anxiety/depression,and overall state in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,with statistical significance(P<0.05).The scores of action ability,self-care,and daily activities were similar to the control group,and the difference was not statistically significant(P>0.05).The total satisfaction rate of the observation group was 87.30%(55/63),while the control group was 77.42%(48/62),the differences were statistically significant(χ2=6.822,P=0.033).Conclusion Vaginal flushing with benzalkonium chloride with clotrimazole vaginal suppository can improve the efficacy of fungal vaginitis,improve the quality of life,improve nursing satisfaction with high safety.
