Exploration of a New Model for Sustainable Development of Biospecimen Banks Based on PEST-SWOT Analysis
The role of biobank in precision medicine, translational medicine and biomedicine has become increasingly prominent, and the construction of sustainable biobank has become an inevitable demand for the development of the industry. However, the problems of inadequate investment, inability to generate income and low utilization rate of samples have become the key problems that plague the sustainable development of biobanks. This paper simulates the construction of the PEST-SWOT model in the application of sustainable development of biospecimen banks, and explores the feasibility of the public-private partnership(PPP)model with the participation of the government in the strategy of sustainable development of biospecimen banks, and analyzes the new strategy of the PPP model in the construction and development of biospecimen banks based on the PEST-SWOT model,i.e.,to guide the government and the public to develop a new strategy for the construction and development of biospecimen banks. The new strategy of guiding the effective integration of government and social capital to promote the development of biosample libraries, which provides theoretical support for the sustainable development of biosample libraries.Provide new ideas for the construction of biosample bank discipline.
