Application of Ultrasound Guided Intraspinal Anesthesia Puncture in Elderly Patients in Orthopedics
Objective To observe the application of ultrasound guided intraspinal anesthesia puncture in elderly orthopedic patients. Methods A retrospective analysis was made on 110 cases of elderly orthopaedic surgery and intraspinal anesthesia puncture patients admitted to Sanming Second Hospital from January to October 2022.They were divided into different groups according to the anesthesia implementation methods of the patients.Among them,55 cases of conventional manual positioning were used as control group, and another 55 cases of ultrasound-assisted positioning were used as study group. The lumbar intervertebral space positioning time, puncture positioning time, total puncture time, and puncture times between the two groups, and calculate the puncture success rate and adverse reactions to determine the patient's satisfaction rate with anesthesia were compared. Results The lumbar intervertebral space positioning time, puncture positioning time and total puncture time in the study group were shorter than those in the control group, and the puncture times were shorter than those in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).In the study group,2 cases were transferred to general anesthesia after puncture failure, while in the control group,10 cases were transferred to general anesthesia due to puncture failure. The puncture success rate of patients in the study group was higher than that of the control group, and the total incidence of adverse reactions was lower than that of the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total satisfaction with anesthesia in the study group was higher than that in the control group, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion In elderly patients undergoing orthopedic surgery, the anesthesia method of ultrasound guided intraspinal anesthesia puncture can shorten the positioning time of lumbar intervertebral space, the positioning time of puncture, and the total time of puncture, reduce the number of puncture times, and have a higher puncture success rate and anesthesia success rate, which is ideal for reducing adverse reactions to puncture and improving patient satisfaction with anesthesia.
