Effect of Traditional Chinese Medicine Acupoint Application Combined With Massage Therapy on Children With Persistent Diarrhea
Objective To evaluate the effect of acupoint application of Chinese medicine combined with massage therapy in children with persistent diarrhea.Methods A total of 132 children with persistent diarrhea in prevention and treatment center,Fuzhou Traditional Chinese Medicine Hospital from June 2022 to June 2023 were selected and divided into control group(n=66)and experimental group(n=66)according to random envelope method.Both groups were given conventional symptomatic treatment,the control group was given Gubenpeiyuan massage,the experimental group on the basis of the control group plus Chinese medicine acupoint application.The efficacy,symptom improvement time(appetite recovery time,vomiting stop time,diarrhea stop time),serum immunoglobulin A(IgA),immunoglobulin G(IgG),immunoglobulin M(IgM)levels were compared between the two groups.Results The total effective rate of the experimental group was 95.45%,higher than that of the control group(81.82%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).During the treatment period,the appetite recovery time,nausea stop time and diarrhea stop time of experimental group were shorter than those of control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).After 7 days of treatment,serum levels of IgA,IgG and IgM in experimental group were higher than those in control group,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Acupoint application of Chinese medicine combined with massage therapy can improve the efficiency of treatment,shorten the time of symptom improvement and improve the immunity of children with persistent diarrhea.
