The Role of Waiting Bed Management System in Improving the Hospitalization Rate of Differentiated Thyroid Cancer Patients
Objective To explore the construction method of a staging management system for differentiated thyroid cancer patients in nuclear medicine and its role in improving hospitalization rates. Methods A total of 960 patients with differentiated thyroid cancer admitted to department of nuclear medicine, the First Affiliated Hospital of Guangxi Medical University from March 2021 to January 2023 were selected as the subjects and divided into 2 groups with 480 patients each by random number table method. The control group was managed using conventional methods, while the observation group constructed a waiting bed management system. Both groups completed the 3-month intervention.Self-management level, length of stay, incidence of adverse reactions, admission rate and satisfaction of the two groups were compared. Results After 3 months of intervention, the self-concept,self-care skills,self-care awareness, and health knowledge scores of the observation group were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).The number of patients staying in hospital for≥7 d and the total incidence of fatigue, radiation injury, radiation inflammation, weight loss, nausea and vomiting in the observation group was lower than that in the control group after 3 months intervention(P<0.05).The hospitalization rate of observation group was 64.58%,which was higher than that of control group(43.75%).The satisfaction of intervention method, service attitude, intervention effect and intervention form was higher than that of control group(P<0.05).Conclusion The construction of the bed waiting management system for differentiated thyroid cancer patients in nuclear medicine can help improve the self-management level of patients, shorten the length of hospital stay, reduce the incidence of adverse reactions, improve the admission rate and satisfaction.
