Effect of MTAD Combined With Sodium Hypochlorite on Pulp Revascularization in Young Permanent Teeth
Objective To investigate the effect of a new type of root canal irrigation(mixture of doxycycline citric acid and detergent,MTAD)combined with sodium hypochlorite on pulp revascularization for young permanent teeth. Methods From May 2020 to January 2022 in Jiangbei Courtyard,Zhongda Hospital Affiliated to Southeast University,120 children with young permanent dental pulp disease diagnosed for the first time were selected as research objects. The patients were divided into 2 groups by different methods, the observation group and control group,60 cases in per group. The children in observation group were used MTAD combined with sodium hypochlorite pulp revascularization, the children in the control group were used MTAD pulp revascularization. The root canal wall thickness,crown-to-root ratio, occlusal force, gingival index(GI),periodontal index(PI),masticatory function of 2 groups were compared before treatment and after 12 months of treatment. The average healing time, clinical effect, postoperative complications and satisfaction were compared between 2 groups. Results Before treatment, there was no significant difference in root canal wall thickness,crown-to-root ratio, occlusal force,GI,PI and masticatory function between 2 groups(P>0.05).After treatment, the thickness,crown-to-root ratio, occlusal force and chewing function in 2 groups were all increased, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05),GI and PI in 2 groups were all decreased, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the root canal wall thickness,crown-to-root ratio and occlusal force and mastication function were significantly increased in the observation group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05),GI,PI were significantly decreased in the observation group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Compared with the control group, the average healing time, the postoperative complications rate in the observation group were significantly reduced, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05),the total effective rate and satisfaction degree in the observation group were significantly increased, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion MTAD combined with sodium hypochlorite to treat children with young permanent tooth pulp disease has a significant effect on the treatment of young permanent tooth pulp revascularization.
