Current Status and Nursing Countermeasures of Physical Activity Level of Patients Receiving Home Peritoneal Dialysis
Objective To investigate the status quo of physical activity in home peritoneal dialysis patients and put forward countermeasures. Methods A total of 147 home peritoneal dialysis patients were selected and followed up in the department of nephrology at a tertiary hospital in Fuzhou city by convenient sampling method. A questionnaire star composed of general data questionnaire and International Physical Activity Questionnaire (IPAQ) was used to distribute and collect questionnaires. At the same time, 6 min walking test and SPPB physical executive ability scale were used to evaluate the motor function level of patients. Results The average age of the patients was (53.42±7.11) years old, with low education level and college degree or above in 10 cases (6.80%). Most of the patients showed low level of physical activity, including 0 cases with high level of physical activity and 119 cases with low level of physical activity (80.95%), 28 cases (19.05%) had moderate physical activity levels. All patients had mild cardiopulmonary insufficiency and weak motor function. Conclusion The physical activity level of peritoneal dialysis patients is generally low, and specialized nurses should pay attention to the physical activity level of peritoneal dialysis patients in addition to patient operation training. Improving the physical activity level of peritoneal dialysis patients is an important part of the comprehensive management of peritoneal dialysis patients by specialized nurses.
