Causes of Urinary Retention in Patients With Uterine Prolapse After Operation and Targeted Nursing Analysis
Objective To analyze the causes of urinary retention in patients with uterine prolapse after surgery and the value of targeted nursing. Methods A total of 200 patients with uterine prolapse who underwent surgical treatment at Women and Children's Hospital,School of Medicine,Xiamen University from January to December 2022 were selected and randomly divided into a control group and a study group, with 100 cases in each group. The control group received routine nursing intervention, while the research group formulated targeted nursing intervention strategies for the specific causes of urinary retention. The nursing intervention effects between two groups were compared. Results The first urination volume, first self urination time, and bladder residual urine volume of the study group were(186.15±9.73)mL,(0.93±0.13)h,and(69.42±9.66)mL,respectively,which were significantly better than the control group's(109.53±13.25)mL,(2.72±0.22)h,and(130.54±15.09)mL,with statistical significance(P<0.05).The incidence of urinary retention and secondary catheterization in the study group were 5.0%and 2.0%,respectively,which were significantly lower than those in the control group(18.0%and 10.0%,respectively),with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The overall satisfaction rate of the research group was 98.0%,significantly higher than the control group's 83.0%,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion When patients with uterine prolapse receive surgical treatment, targeted nursing intervention measures should be formulated according to the specific causes of urinary retention after surgery, which can significantly reduce the incidence of secondary catheterization and urinary retention, enable patients to recover as soon as possible, and significantly improve their satisfaction. It is worth promoting. The research results of this article can provide reference for the formulation of the late standard of postoperative urinary retention prevention and treatment.
