Effect of Early Intervention on High Risk Infants in Dongguan City
Objective To explore the effect of early intervention on high-risk children in Dongguan city. Methods A total of 400 high-risk children admitted to Dongguan Maternal and Child Health Care Hospital from February to October 2022 were included in the study. They were randomly divided into the early intervention group and the conventional parenting group using a double-blind randomization method, with 200 cases in each group. The conventional parenting group mainly receives routine family intervention, while the early intervention group mainly receives early comprehensive intervention from the family in cooperation with the medical department. The intervention effects, developmental levels, incidence of sequelae, and compliance were compared between the two groups. Results Before intervention, there was no significant difference in gross motor function scores between the two groups(P>0.05).After intervention, the gross motor function score of the early intervention group was higher than that of the conventional parenting group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before intervention, there was no significant difference in development level between the two groups(P>0.05).After 1 and 2 courses of intervention, the development level of early intervention group was higher than that of conventional parenting group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of sequelae in early intervention group was 0.50%,which was lower than that in conventional parenting group(5.50%)(P<0.05).The total intervention compliance of the early intervention group was 98.50%,and that of the conventional parenting group was 94.00%,which was higher in the early intervention group than in the conventional parenting group(P<0.05).Conclusion Early intervention can effectively promote the normal development of high-risk infants and reduce the risk of sequelae.
