The Preventive Value of Reverse Teaching Method for Oral Mucosal Inflammation Caused by Chemotherapy in Hematological Diseases
Objective To explore the preventive value of reverse teaching method for oral mucosal inflammation caused by chemotherapy in hematological diseases. Methods A total of 100 patients with hematological diseases admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University from March 2022 to March 2023 were selected,50 patients admitted from March to August 2022 were selected as the control group, and 50 patients admitted from September 2022 to March 2023 were selected as the observation group. The control group received routine nursing, while the observation group received reverse teaching nursing. The knowledge and practice of oral health, the severity of oral mucosal inflammation and the satisfaction of patients with nursing were compared between the two groups. Results After intervention, the scores of knowledge level, belief level and behavior level were increased in both groups(P<0.05).The scores of knowledge, belief and behavior in oral health questionnaire in observation group were higher than those in control group(P<0.05).After intervention, the total incidence of oral mucositis in the observation group was 18.00%(9/50),lower than that in the control group 52.00%(26/50)(P<0.05).After intervention, the scores of Chinese hospital patient experience and satisfaction monitor(CHPESMS)accessibility to hospital admission, complaint and opinion management, and environment and logistics management in the observation group were not significantly different from those in the control group(P>0.05),but the dimension scores of general hospitalization service, treatment service and discharge guidance in the observation group were higher than those in the control group, with statistical significance(P<0.05).Conclusion Compared with conventional care, the reverse teaching method can not only significantly increase oral hygiene knowledge, strengthen beliefs, and improve oral hygiene and health behaviors in hematological chemotherapy patients, but also reduce the incidence of oral mucosal inflammation and improve patients'satisfaction with general hospitalization services, treatment services, and discharge guidance services.
