The Clinical Value of Empowering Education Combined With Seamless Care in Preventing AVF Complications in MHD Patients
Objective To observe the value of empowering education combined with seamless nursing mode in preventing complications of arteriovenous fistula(AVF)in maintenance hemodialysis disease(MHD)patients.Methods A total of 280 MHD patients who underwent MHD at Donghai Hospital,Second Affiliated Hospital of Fujian Medical University from June 2021 to June 2023 were selected.Patients admitted from June 2021 to May 2022 were included in the control group(n=140),and patients admitted from June 2022 to June 2023 were included in the study group(n=140).The control group received routine care,while the research group received empowerment education in combination with seamless nursing mode on the basis of the control group.Internal fistula occlusion rate,aneurysm like dilation rate and AVF in 2 groups were observed,and the quality of life before and after intervention was evaluated.Results After intervention,the internal fistula occlusion rate and aneurysm like dilation rate of the study group were 4.29%and 7.86%,respectively,lower than the control group's 10.71%and 16.43%(P<0.05).In addition,the total incidence of AVF complications in the study group was 5.71%,lower than the 17.14%in the control group(P<0.05).After intervention,the health,emotional,and psychological scores of both groups increased,and the scores of patients in the study group were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Empowerment education combined with seamless nursing mode can effectively prevent AVF complications in MHD patients,and is beneficial for improving the quality of life of MHD patients.
