Analysis of Negative Emotions and Self-Efficacy in Adolescent Patients With Non-Suicidal Self-Injury Behavior
Objective To investigate the current situation of negative emotions and self-efficacy of adolescents with non-suicidal self-injury behavior,and to provide a reference for exploring the coping strategies to improve positive emotions and their self-efficacy,so as to facilitate the balanced development of physical and mental health of adolescent patients.Methods A total of 30 adolescent patients with non-suicidal NSSI were admitted in the open ward of the Second General Hospital of Fuzhou Neuropsychiatric Prevention and Treatment Hospital from November 2022 to May 2023,Thirty healthy adolescents who studied normally in school during the same period served as the control group,Using the self-rating depression scale(SDS),self-rating anxiety scale(SAS),general self-efficacy scale(GSES),as an evaluation tool.The negative mood and self-efficacy scores between the two groups,The scale results were analyzed and discussed.Results The anxiety scale score(67.07±14.62)points and depression scale score(73.57±14.36)points of the study group were higher than those of the control group(29.20±5.23)points and(40.47±9.52)points,with statistical significance(P<0.001).The self-efficacy score of the research group was(19.77±6.45)points,which was lower than the control group's(25.30±3.41)points,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.001).Conclusion Non-suicidal NSSI adolescents have obvious anxiety and depression,and their self-efficacy defects seriously affect their mental health,self-awareness and self-confidence level.Raising and enhancing adolescents'positive emotions and self-efficacy is the key to promoting their healthy growth.
