Analysis of the Effect of Infant Family Ward on Neonatal Hyperbilirubinaemia Outcomes
Objective To analyze the differences and similarities in the treatment effects of neonatal hyperbilirubinemia(NH)in infant family ward and general ward, and provide reference for promoting the infant family ward. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on 183 neonates with NH admitted to Foshan Women and Children Hospital from January 2022 to December 2022.A comparison group of 183 neonates with NH admitted to the general ward was also selected at the same time. The differences in the treatment effects of the two types of wards were analyzed. Results The average gestational age of the babies admitted to the infant family ward was(38.22±1.21)weeks,birth weight(3 181±395)g,age at admission(4.51±1.36)days,serum bilirubin level(266.87±35.16)μmol/L.The average gestational age of the babies in the general ward was(38.17±1.39)weeks,birth weight(3 139±426)g,age at admission(4.26±1.37)days,serum bilirubin level(262.86±37.55)μmol/L,and there were no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).There were 5 cases of readmission in the family ward and 12 cases in the general ward at 15 days, and there were no significant difference between the two groups(P>0.05).There were 181 cases of breastfeeding in the family ward and 13 cases in the general ward, and there were significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).There were 6 cases of complications(rash and diarrhea)in the family ward and 22 cases of complications(rash and diarrhea)in the general ward, and there were significant difference between the two groups(P<0.05).There were 179 cases of very satisfactory infant family ward and 160 cases of general ward, with significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion The infant family ward is more conducive to breastfeeding and mother-baby recovery. The discharge of NH inpatients from the infant family ward is faster, with lower incidence of complications, and it has a positive impact on satisfaction. It is worth promoting.
