Analysis of the Effects of Wuwei Disinfection Drink on Pain and Inflammatory Factors in Patients With Paronychia
Objective To analyze the clinical effect of Wuwei Disinfection Drink combined with mopirocin on pain and serum inflammatory factor levels in patients with paronychia after surgical treatment.Methods A comparative study was conducted on 90 patients with foot paronychia who met the research requirements in Sanming Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine from April 2019 to April 2023.The patients were randomly divided into a control group and a study group,with 45 cases in each group.All patients underwent partial excision of the nail bed and nail matrix.After surgery,the control group received local treatment with mupirocin ointment,while the study group received external application of Wuwei Disinfection Drink and local treatment with mupirocin ointment.The wound rehabilitation indicators,postoperative pain scores,serum inflammatory factors,wound infection,incidence of redness and swelling,and treatment satisfaction between two groups were compared.Results(1)The study group had shorter wound drying time,redness and swelling resolution time,wound healing time,and fewer dressing changes compared to the control group.The incidence of wound redness and swelling(2.22%)and infection(6.67%)were also reduced,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(2)During the postoperative treatment period,the patient's wound pain was relieved,and the numerical rating scale(NRS)significantly decreased at 7 and 14 days postoperatively compared to 1 day postoperatively(P<0.05).The NRS score of the study group was lower than that of the control group at 7 and 14 days after surgery,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).(3)On the 7th day after surgery,the levels of C-reaction protein(CRP),procalcitonin(PCT),and white blood cell(WBC)in the patient's blood significantly decreased compared to the 1st day after surgery(P<0.05).At 7 days post surgery,the levels of CRP,PCT,and WBC in the study group were lower than those in the control group at the same period,and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).(4)The satisfaction rate of the research group was 97.78%,which was higher than the control group's 84.44%,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion After surgical treatment,patients with paronychia can receive local treatment with Wuwei Disinfection Drink combined with mupirocin ointment,which can actively promote wound healing,reduce the risk of wound infection and redness,alleviate wound pain,and correct serum inflammatory factor levels.
