Factors Influencing Compliance With Catheterization Measures for Preventing CVC Related Bloodstream Infections in Hospitals
Objective To study the compliance factors of key measures for preventing central venous catheterization(CVC)related bloodstream infections among medical staff. Methods A total of 30 medical staff members with experience in CVC implantation of the Third People's Hospital of Yongzhou City from January 2020 to March 2023 were collected.A basic survey was conducted on all medical staff members, and a compliance survey questionnaire was used to evaluate the compliance of medical staff members on key measures for preventing CVC related bloodstream infection catheter implantation.Factors affecting medical staff compliance were analyzed. Results Univariate analysis showed that the influencing factors of non medical staff compliance survey questionnaire scores were different age, gender, occupation, and placement time(P>0.05),and the monthly number of CVC placement and participation in CVC placement training were the influencing factors of medical staff compliance survey questionnaire scores(P<0.05).The overall compliance questionnaire score of 30 medical personnel was(89.95±10.01)points,with excellent, good, average, and poor compliance accounting for 76.67%,13.33%,6.67%,and 3.33%,respectively.Multivariate analysis shows that the number of CVC catheterization per month(≥5-19 times,≥20 times)and the participation in CVC catheterization training are the influencing factors on the compliance of medical staff. Conclusion The overall compliance of medical staff is good, but it is necessary to pay attention to their CVC catheterization training, monitor the CVC catheterization operation process, and reasonably allocate the workload of medical staff to maintain a high level of compliance.
