Effect of Bladder Management Under ICF Concept on Discharge Readiness of Patients With Intermittent Catheterization
Objective To explore the application effect of standardized bladder management scheme based on ICF concept in discharge readiness of patients with intermittent catheter, and to provide ideas and references for effectively guiding clinical decision-making,promoting patients'active participation and self-management ability improvement, and optimizing the quality of discharge guidance. Methods A total of 50 patients with intermittent urinary catheterization due to spinal cord injury who were hospitalized in rehabilitation center,Jiangsu Provincial Changzhou Dean Hospital from November 2022 to August 2023 were selected as the study objects, and were divided into observation group and control group by sampling convenience data table method, with 25 cases in each group, finally effective data were collected for 23 cases in the control group and 24 cases in the observation group. The observation group implemented standardized bladder management scheme based on ICF concept. The discharge readiness and self-efficacy of the two groups were compared, and the bladder self-management ability of the two groups was investigated 1 month after discharge. Results The total score of discharge readiness in the observation group was 92(87.50,96.00)points,while in the control group it was 80(78.00,84.00)points,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).At discharge, the self-efficacy score of the observation group was(86.58±5.49)points,while the control group was(74.87±7.68)points,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).One month after discharge, the total scores of self-bladder management knowledge and self-management ability in observation group were(63.17±1.79)points and(83.21±4.06)points,respectively,which were higher than those in control group(42.52±3.23)points and(66.57±5.23)points,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The standardized bladder management scheme based on ICF concept can improve the self-efficacy and bladder management ability of patients with intermittent catheterization,so as to obtain the best discharge readiness, promote the smooth transition from hospital professional care to self-care,improve the efficiency and quality of medical services, and improve the quality of life after hospital.
