Evaluation of the Effect of PDCA Circulation on Shortening the Waiting Time Before Day Operation
Objective To explore the management mode of shortening the waiting time of preoperative preparation by PDCA program under the epidemic situation of hospital infection.Methods PDCA procedure was adopted to establish a multidisciplinary cooperation mechanism,accurately arrange the admission time of patients,reasonably plan the preoperative waiting area and other measures,a total of 316 patients with day surgery from January 8 to 21,2022 were taken as the control group,and the patients improved by PDCA from March 26,2022 to May 8,2022 were taken as the observation group.The preoperative waiting time and satisfaction of patients in the two groups were compared.Results Before and after this PDCA procedure,the PDCA group was better than the control,the average waiting time of patients undergoing daytime surgery decreased from 184.36 minutes to 47.64 minutes,and the patient satisfaction increased from 81.01%to 96.11%,the difference were statistically significant(P<0.001).Conclusion The short and fast operation mode of daytime surgery and integrate with epidemic prevention and control,requires hospitals to take effective preoperative diversion measures according to the characteristics of operation areas and patients'needs,which is of great significance to improve patients'medical experience,reduce the incidence of Hospital Infection and staff satisfaction.
