Study on Improvement of Clinical Blood Transfusion Course Record Management System Based on PDCA Circulation
Objective To study the application of Deming cycle(Plan,Do,Check,Action cycle,PDCA)to improve the clinical blood transfusion course record and the improvement effect. Methods The record of clinical blood transfusion in the Second Hospital of Jiaxing from October 2020 to August 2021 were examined to investigate the effects of PDCA cycle on the detection rate of laboratory indicators before and after blood transfusion, the hemoglobin value of internal patients before blood transfusion and the standard rate of clinical blood transfusion records. Results After applying the PDCA circulation method to improve the record of blood transfusion record, the detection rate of laboratory indicators before blood transfusion increased from 90.25%to 97.80%,and the detection rate of laboratory indicators after blood transfusion increased from 77.75%to 96.37%,with statistically significant differences(P<0.05).After the improvement, the mean hemoglobin index of red blood cell transfusion in internal medicine patients decreased from(61.69±12.38)g/L to(58.52±10.01)g/L,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The standard rate of clinical blood transfusion record was also significantly increased after the improvement(P<0.05).Conclusion Adopting PDCA cycle method to improve the course record of clinical blood transfusion can effectively improve the standard rate of course record and the detection rate of laboratory indicators,so as to improve the level of clinical rational use of blood and ensure the medical quality and safety.
