Progress in Clinical Diagnosis and Treatment for Recurrent Hepatocellular Carcinoma After Radical Resection
Hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)is malignant tumor that occur frequently in the world and is highly prevalent in China.Radical resection is currently the most common treatment. However, the postoperative recurrence rate of HCC is high, and the management of recurrent HCC currently faces many challenges in clinical practice.People's understanding of the mechanism of HCC recurrence is relatively insufficient and there is no authoritative clinical management process standard specifically for recurrent HCC,and there is a lack of relevant research on biomarkers of early recurrence.Clarifying the definition of recurrent HCC and developing an official clinical management pathway have special guiding value. This article reviews several aspects such as the criteria for radical resection of HCC,diagnostic criteria, classification, staging, and treatment strategies for recurrent HCC.In order to increase understanding of recurrent HCC,improve the quality of clinical decisions, and provide reference content for the development of new guidelines or standards for recurrent HCC.
