The Effect of DIP Payment on Reducing Medical Expenses for the Same Disease and Managing Medical Insurance Control Fees
Objective To observe the effectiveness of using the regional point method for total budget and diagnosis-intervention packe(DIP)payment method in reducing medical expenses and improving medical insurance cost control management in the process of hospital cost management.Methods A comparative observation was conducted to explore 120 patients with digestive system tumors at Longyan First Hospital Affiliated to Fujian Medical University,with a time interval of February 2022 to April 2023.They were randomly sorted and grouped into a control group(60 patients,who were managed according to the conventional mode during the treatment period)and an observation group(60 patients,who were managed according to the DIP payment method).The cost situation of patients in various aspects of treatment were comprehensively compared.Results The total medical expenses,surgical expenses and medication expenses of the observation group were(7 053.52±53.45)yuan,(975.56±23.14)yuan,(635.45±10.01)yuan,as well as examination expenses(756.45±25.45)yuan and treatment expenses(435.05±14.05)yuan,were all lower than those of the control group(P<0.05).The observation group's self payment amount,the proportion of self funded expenses and hospitalization time were(1 324.52±10.01)yuan,(38.96%±1.52%),(7.25±0.83)d,all were lower than the control group(P<0.05).The observation group is satisfied with the management of hospital treatment costs,the scores of all dimensions were higher than those of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion In the daily process of medical insurance fee control,hospitals can use DIP payment method to improve the efficiency of medical insurance fee control,reduce the proportion of patients'self payment during the treatment process,and reduce the pressure of patients seeking medical treatment.The research results of this article provide reference content for the later development of standards for medical insurance fee control management
