Application of Foam Dressing Combined With Self-Adhesive Elastic Bandage in Invisible Penis Correction Surgery
Objective To investigate the clinical effect of foam dressing and self-adhesive elastic bandage in the treatment of occult penis correction in children.Methods A total of 102 children in the study were selected from the children who underwent occult penile correction treatment in Guiping People's Hospital during July 2022 to May 2023,and the children who received self-adhesive elastic bandage fixation bandages were set as the control group according to the different postoperative fixation methods,and the children who were combined with foam dressing on the basis of the control group were the research group,with 51 cases each.The postoperative pain,edema,postoperative recovery index,and postoperative complication rate of the two groups were compared.Results The pain and edema of the study group gradually decreased and the postoperative recovery indexes were lower than those in the control group during the postoperative period of 3 d,5 d and 1 week(P<0.05).The complication rate in the study group reached 3.92%,which was lower than that in the control group of 15.69%(P<0.05).The total satisfaction rate of the study group was 98.04%higher than that of the control group of 86.27%(P<0.05).Conclusion The use of foam dressing combined with self-adhesive elastic bandage after occult penis surgery is beneficial to reduce wound pain and complication rate,thereby improving clinical recovery indicators and postoperative satisfaction.
