Comparison of Short-Term and Long-Term Effects of Nifedipine in the Treatment of Gestational Hypertension
Objective To explore the practical effects of short-acting and long-acting nifedipine in the treatment of hypertension in pregnancy. Methods A total of 90 patients with gestational hypertension diagnosed from February 2020 to February 2023 and treated at Rongcheng Maternal and Child Health Hospital were selected for the study. The patients were randomly divided into an observation group and a control group, with 45 cases in each group. The control group was treated with short-term nifedipine, while the observation group was treated with nifedipine controlled-release tablets. The postoperative blood pressure,24-hour urine protein, blood viscosity, hematocrit, delivery method, adverse maternal and infant outcomes, and medication adverse reactions of two groups were analyzed. Results The observation group had lower levels of diastolic and systolic blood pressure after treatment, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The 24-hour urine protein level, blood viscosity, and hematocrit in the observation group were lower than those in the control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The vaginal delivery rate in the observation group(77.78%)was higher than that in the control group(44.44%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse maternal and infant outcomes in patients with gestational hypertension in the observation group(6.66%)was lower than that in the control group(33.33%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse drug reactions in the observation group(2.22%)was lower than that in the control group(15.56%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion It is recommended to use long-acting nifedipine treatment for patients with hypertension during pregnancy. This method can help patients to better control blood pressure, improve symptoms and prevent adverse pregnancy outcomes.
