Application of Evidence-Based Standardized Management in ICU Electrocardiogram Monitoring Patients
Objective To explore the impact of evidence-based standardized management on the false alarm rate and nurse alarm fatigue of electrocardiographic monitoring patients in intensive care units(ICUs).Methods A total of 100 clinical ICU electrocardiogram monitoring instruments in Quanzhou First Hospital Affiliated to Fujian Medical University from July 2021 to June 2023 were randomly selected.A total of 50 clinical ICU electrocardiogram monitoring instruments from July 2021 to December 2022 during the implementation of routine management as the routine management group.A total of50 clinical ICU electrocardiogram monitoring instruments from January to June 2023 during the implementation of evidence-based standardized management as the evidence-based management group.The false alarm rate,alarm ability processing score,and nurse alarm fatigue between two groups of electrocardiogram monitoring patients were compared.Results The false alarm rate of electrocardiogram monitoring instruments in the evidence-based management group was 16.13%,while the false alarm rate of electrocardiogram monitoring instruments in the conventional management group was 26.15%,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).The score of nurses'alarm handling ability in the evidence-based management group was higher than that in the conventional management group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The ICU nurse alarm fatigue scale score for patients in the evidence-based management group was(15.32±3.28)points,while the conventional management group was(21.56±4.64)points,with a statistically significant difference(P<0.05).Conclusion Standardized management based on evidence-based evidence can reduce the false alarm rate of ICU electrocardiogram monitoring patients,improve nurses'processing ability,and reduce nurses'alarm fatigue.
