Investigation of Rumination and Life Satisfaction in Adolescent Patients With Non-Suicidal NSSI Behavior
Objective To investigate the current situation of rumination thinking and life satisfaction in non-suicide adolescent patients, and to provide reference materials for analyzing related factors and developing positive psychological intervention programs. Methods Using the positive and negative rination scale(PANRS)and adolescent students' life satisfaction scale(ASLSS)as an evaluation tool. From November 2022 to May 2023,30 adolescent patients with non-suicidal self-injury hospitalized in the psychological department of a third-grade psychiatric hospital in Fuzhou(the control group)and adolescents with no suicidal self-injury who normally studied in school as controls, the scale results were analyzed and discussed. Results The positive factor scores(enjoyment of happiness and positive coping)in the research group were lower than those in the control group, while the negative factor scores(inhibition of happiness, self denial, negative attribution)were higher than those in the control group(P<0.05).The overall life satisfaction score of the research group was(119.00±36.19)points,which was lower than the control group's(156.00±34.66)points,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion The adolescent patients with non-suicidal NSSI have obvious positive rumination thinking defects and strong negative rumination thinking, which seriously affect the satisfaction of life. The development of interventions that improve positive rumination can be beneficial to increase the motivation of youth for future life.
