Evaluation of the Application of PDCA Cycle in Hospital Clinical Pathway Management
Objective To explore and analyze the application effect of PDCA cycle in hospital clinical pathway management.Methods Data indicators of clinical path management in Ningde Municipal Hospital of Ningde Normal University from January to December 2019 and during the implementation of PDCA cycle continuous improvement from January 2020 to December 2022 were retrospectively analyzed,and the entry rate,completion rate,variation rate,average hospitalization cost and average hospitalization days of clinical paths before and after the implementation were analyzed.The effect before and after implementation was evaluated.Results After the implementation of PDCA cycle management,the clinical management path was continuously improved,and the entrance rate and completion rate of a certain range were increased,the mutation rate has decreased,the diagnosis and treatment process has been standardized,the average hospitalization days of patients have been shortened,and the average hospitalization cost has been reduced.Conclusion The implementation of PDCA cycle management in hospital clinical pathway management is helpful to standardize medical behavior,continuously improve medical quality,control medical cost,and improve patient satisfaction.
