Effect of Minimally Invasive Tooth Extraction on Pain Degree of Mandibular Impacted Wisdom Teeth
Objective To explore the effect of minimally invasive tooth extraction on the degree of pain and inflammatory stress in patients with mandibular impacted wisdom teeth. Methods A total of 62 cases of mandibular impacted wisdom teeth in People's Hospital of Gaomi from December 2018 to May 2023 were selected and divided into observation group and control group according to different treatment methods, with 31 cases in each group. The control group was treated with hammer chisel and split crown method, and the observation group was treated with minimally invasive tooth extraction. The indicators between the two groups were compared. Results Compared w ith th e control group[(38.43±3.17)min,(15.94±3.54)d,(7.96±2.18)mm,(16.54±4.35)mm,29.03%],the operation time[(26.36±2.53)min]and the healing time[(6.37±2.16)d]of tooth extraction socket of the observation group were shorter, the postoperative opening[(21.08±4.67)mm]was larger, the postoperative swelling[(6.24±2.03)mm]was lighter and the incidence of complications(6.45%)was lower(P<0.05).Compared with before operation, the degree of pain first increased and then decreased 1-3 d after operation, and the observation group was lower.intercellular cell adhesion molecule-1(ICAM1)and interleukin—1β(IL-1β)of the both groups increased 3 d after operation, and the observation group was lower(P<0.05).The levels of pentraxin-3(PTX3)and cortisol(Cor)of the both groups decreased 3 d after operation, and observation group was lower(P<0.05).Glutathione peroxidase(GPx)of the both groups decreased 3 d after operation, and the observation group was higher(P<0.05).Reactive oxygen species(ROS)of the both groups increased 3 d after operation, and the observation group was lower. The differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Minimally invasive extraction of mandibular impacted wisdom teeth can effectively promote the postoperative recovery of patients and reduce the pain degree and inflammatory stress reaction of patients.
