Objective To explore the application effect of nursing project management in postoperative cardiac surgery patients with acquired swallowing disorders undergoing swallowing rehabilitation training. Methods A total of 60 patients with acquired dysphagia after cardiac surgery who were hospitalized in Xiamen Cardiovascular Hospital,Xiamen University from July 2021 to June 2023 were selected as the study objects by convenience sampling method.A total of 30 patients before the implementation of the nursing project management were set as the control group, and the other 30 patients after the nursing project management were set as the observation group. The rate of execution of rehabilitation training, the time of retention of nasogastric feeding tubes, and the incidence rate of complications of swallowing disorder(mainly overt aspiration and aspiration pneumonia)were compared between 2 groups. Results The implementation rate of rehabilitation training for swallowing disorder in the observation group was 90.00%,which was higher than that in the control group(20.00%),and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The time of retention of nasogastric feeding tubes in the observation group was shorter than that in the control group, and the total incidence of complications of swallowing disorder was lower than that in control group, and the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Nursing project management can improve the implementation rate of rehabilitation for swallowing disorders, reduce the average retention days of patients with nasal feeding tube, effectively promote the rehabilitation process of patients with swallowing disorders after cardiac surgery, and improve the prognosis of patients.
