Application of Quality Control Circle Activities in Hand Disinfection Management of Hemodialysis Medical Staff
Objective To explore the application effect of quality control circle activities in hand disinfection management for hemodialysis medical staff.Methods A total of 27 medical staff members from the hemodialysis room,of the kidney department and hemodialysis room,the 909th Hospital from January to December 2022 were selected as the research subjects.After the introduction of quality control circle activities in the department in July 2022,the occurrence of non-standard hand disinfection behavior among the target subjects from January to June 2022(before the introduction of quality control circle activities)and from July to December 2022(after the implementation of quality control circle activities)were recorded,and the intangible effects of the management activities were evaluated.Results Before implementing the quality control circle activity,the incidence rates of inadequate seven step washing techniques,inaccurate pressing techniques,inaccurate disinfectant dosage,operation without drying,and failure to disinfect before operation were 22.22%(6/27),18.52%(5/27),29.63%(8/27),22.22%(6/27),and 14.81%(4/27),respectively,which were higher than 3.70%(1/27),0,7.41%(2/27),0,and 0 after implementation(P<0.05).Before implementing the quality control circle activity,the hand disinfection compliance of doctors,nurses,and overall medical staff was 66.67%(4/6),66.67%(14/20),and 66.67%(18/27),which was lower than that of 100%(6/6),95.24%(20/21),and 96.30%(26/27)after implementation(P<0.05).Before implementing the quality control circle activity,the scores for problem-solving ability,sense of responsibility and honor,professional knowledge,understanding of quality improvement techniques,and team cohesion of medical staff were(82.49±5.04)points,(82.89±4.94)points,(83.53±4.88)points,(81.86±5.12)points,and(83.15±4.92)points,respectively,which were lower than those after implementation(90.27±4.28)points,(91.83±4.06)points,(92.32±3.98)points,(90.85±4.19)points,and(93.59±3.76)points(P<0.05).Conclusion In the management of hand disinfection for hemodialysis medical staff,the introduction of quality control circle activities can not only reduce the occurrence of related non-standard behaviors,but also have the effect of improving the problem-solving ability,sense of responsibility and honor,professional knowledge and other abilities of medical personnel,ultimately promoting the improvement of medical quality in the department,which can be recommended for implementation.
