Analysis of Clinicopathologic Characteristics of Spinal Canal Melanotic Schwannoma in Intraspinal and Literature Review
Retrospective analysis of the clinical and pathological characteristics of a patient with melanotic schwannoma(MS)in the spinal canal who was admitted to Zaozhuang Municipal Hospital for treatment from January 2013 to December 2023,including clinical history,magnetic resonance imaging(MRI)images,tumor histological characteristics,immunohistochemical staining results,and follow-up of the patient's metastasis and recurrence.The follow-up results showed that none of the 10 patients showed tumor metastasis or recurrence.Review relevant literature,based on relevant literature reports,there are cases of metastasis and recurrence in MS.The results of this study may be related to the limited number of study cases and short follow-up time.Therefore,attention should be paid to increasing the long-term follow-up time of MS patients,timely intervention and treatment,in order to reduce the metastasis and recurrence rates of patients and improve their quality of life.This study aims to enhance clinical understanding of the diagnosis and treatment of MS.
