Clinical Effect of Baliao Point Catgut Embedding in the Treatment of Female Postpartum Stress Urinary Incontinence
Objective To observe the clinical effect of Baliao point catgut embedding in the treatment of female postpartum stress urinary incontinence(SUI).Methods A total of 60 patients with postpartum SUI treated in the department of comprehensive outpatient,Fujian Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences from August 2021 to August 2023 were selected as the study objects.They were divided into functional training group,electrical stimulation group and catgut embedding group according to random number table method,with 20 cases in each group.The functional training group received routine pelvic floor muscle training treatment,the catgut embedding group received Baliao point catgut embedding combined with pelvic floor muscle function training,and the electrical stimulation group received electrical stimulation-biofeedback combined with pelvic floor muscle function training.The total treatment time was 8 weeks.The efficacy was evaluated by manual pelvic floor muscle strength assessment,pelvic floor muscle surface electromyography screening,international consultation on incontinence questionnaire(ICIQ-SF)score,and 1 h pad test data before and after treatment in the three treatment groups.Results In the fast muscle stage,there was no statistical significance in the surface electromyography value of pelvic floor muscle before and after treatment among the 3 groups(P>0.05).In the slow muscle stage,there was no statistical significance in the surface of surface electromyography values of pelvic floor muscle before treatment among 3 groups(P>0.05).After treatment,the surface electromyography values of pelvic floor muscle in the catgut embedding group,the electrical stimulation group and the functional training group were(35.485±8.326)μV,(32.915±7.893)μV,(28.635±4.879)μV,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Before treatment,there was no significant difference in the amount of urine leakage in the 1 h pad test and ICIQ-SF scale score among 3 groups(P>0.05).After treatment,the urine leakage of 1 h urine pad test and difference value,the ICIQ-SF score and difference value among 3 groups,the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Baliao point catgut embedding is helpful in improving pelvic floor muscle strength in the treatment of female postpartum SUI,significantly relieving patients'incontinence symptoms.
