Questionnaire Survey on Risk Assessment of Nosocomial Infection Management in Medical Institutions in Jinhua City
Objective To investigate the current situation of risk assessment in medical institutions at all levels of Jinhua city and the knowledge of risk assessment technology among professional staff of risk control.Methods Self-made questionnaires related to risk assessment of infection and control,Tencent questionnaire was used in August to September 2023 to investigate 52 full-time staff working in medical institutions in Jinhua city.The survey content includes basic information about the staff,the knowledge of risk assessment techniques,the development of risk assessment and the capabilities of management of healthcare-associated infections in the medical institution where they are located.Results The 52 staff were mainly women,with a professional background in nursing,and engaged in management of healthcare-associated infections for≤4 years,accounting for 96.15%(50/52)、78.85%(41/52)、71.15%(37/52).Among them,49(94.23%)had received training and 43(82.69%)had participated in risk assessment of healthcare-associated infections.53.85%(28/52)of the hospitals where the investigators were located could carry out risk assessments at the hospital-wide level once a year,and key departments(departments)once every six months.More than 48.00%of them believed that there were related healthcare-associated infections risks in their hospital,and the two highest proportion were that the hospital environment was not cleaned and disinfected,accounting for 63.46%(33/52),and the uspected healthcare-associated infections outbreak was not handled in place,accounting for 61.54%(32/52).Conclusion Overall,the risk assessment system of healthcare-associated infections was well implemented in the Jinhua city's hospitals,and most of the staff are familiar with related technologies and have practical experience.It is still an important trend to identify,and control risks comprehensively and regularly,improve the practicality of the assessment results,and prevent the occurrence of healthcare-associated infections in future.
