Effect of Individualized Oral Care Interventions on Postoperative Patients With Tongue Cancer
Objective To analyze the effects of individualized oral care interventions on oral cleanliness and survival rate of musculocutaneous flap in patients with tongue cancer after surgery. Methods A total of 104 cases of tongue cancer patients admitted to the First Affiliated Hospital of Xiamen University from January 2020 to April 2023 were divided into the reference group(52 cases of patients with singular hospitalization number)and the study group(52 cases of patients with even hospitalization number)according to their odd-even hospitalization number. The reference group was given routine nursing, and the study group was given individualized oral nursing intervention on the basis of routine nursing in the reference group.Oral colony counts were compared between the two groups before and after care, oral cleanliness and survival rate of musculocutaneous flap were counted, and quality of life scores were compared between the two groups before and after care. Results After care, the oral colony count of the 2 groups was lower than that before care, and the oral colony count of the study group was(24.71±6.34)×104,which was lower than(38.34±5.66)×104 of the reference group(P<0.05).The rate of oral cleanliness in the study group was 96.15%,higher than 78.85%in the reference group(P<0.05).The survival rate of myocutaneous flap in the study group was 98.08%,higher than 84.62%in the reference group(P<0.05).After nursing, the quality of life score of the study group was(74.56±6.12)points,which was higher than(69.72±6.07)points of the reference group(P<0.05).Conclusion The implementation of individualized oral care can effectively reduce the postoperative oral colonies, improve the oral cleanliness, ensure the successful survival of musculocutaneous flap, and improve the quality of life of patients.
