Analysis of the Effect of Single Hole Laparoscopic High Ligation of Hernia Sac in the Treatment of Pediatric Inguinal Hernia
Objective To explore the effect of single port laparoscopic high ligation of hernia sac in the treatment of pediatric inguinal hernia and its impact on incision aesthetics. Methods A retrospective analysis was conducted on the data of 109 pediatric patients with inguinal hernia admitted to department of pediatric surgery,Jinjiang Municipal Hospital from September 2020 to July 2023.The patients were grouped according to differences in surgical methods. The control group(52 cases)underwen t traditional small incision hernia sac high ligation surgery, while the observation group(57 cases)underwent single hole laparoscopic hernia sac high ligation surgery. The surgical effects, satisfaction with incision aesthetics, and incidence of complications were compared between the two groups. Results The observation group had shorter surgical time, postoperative anal exhaust time, mobilization time, hospitalization time, and incision length than the control group, the observation group had less intraoperative bleeding than the control group(P<0.05).The satisfaction rate of postoperative incision aesthetics in the observation group was 96.49%,significantly higher than 86.42%of the control group(P<0.05).The incidence of postoperative complications in the observation group was 1.75%,lower than 17.31%of the control group(P<0.05).Conclusion Single port laparoscopic high ligation of inguinal hernia sac is effective in treating pediatric inguinal hernia, with less trauma, less postoperative pain, faster postoperative recovery, reduced oxidative stress and inflammatory reactions, improved incision satisfaction, and reduced postoperative complications.
